Bringing the littele feet cross the mountains to the water of Venice.
Arte Laguna Prize 2013 is calling:
Come and let the ‘Voetencarrousel’ for us turning
What? Now? Yes! Now!
Oké, here we come: bus rentals, accommodation, check the little feet, ready for travel and load, so look for transport in Venice. All this in just two weeks.
Monday 4 maart 2013 on the road to Venice.
A brand new van with super fast motor takes us right through the Dolomites that that allow impassive.
After one and a half day arrival at a warm B&B in Dolo, 15 km from the exhibition place.
Then the next day, make sure that everything is in one piece and as dry as possible in a small boat, get caught and dropped off at the Arsenale. Well, we are dropped off, a fortune for 40 minutes by boat. Strange contrast: the very careful handling by the transporter of, in his eyes, a hope scrap.
A special experience: in the pouring rain, we sail on the dreamy “Canal Grande ‘.The exhibit space is a former barracks complex with large rooms of 19th century industrial architecture. Impressive in their simplicity.
Everything is there. Flow, a flat floor, friendly staff and technicians and … damp chill.Setting up our work in the right place costs the curator any thinking, but we come out of it.Between a sweet, peat-spouting Mexican and an Israeli artist with a little park by plastic, overlooking a work with 400 floating silver balls of Bulgarian artists. Half the world seems to walk around here.
And starting from Sunday 10 March 2013 walk our feet there their endless rounds, as if there were no distance exists. With out of direct view of the lagoon.
We do Venice!
Cloudy or rainy, the sweet-voiced light here, strokes the earth over her wet little head.
