After ‘ExLibris’ had dropped its leaves in 2013 at the Cloister Garden of the Museum Elburg, a part of them have been processed into symbolic Arts seeds and the rest ritual is burnt, the work was raised again in his new capacity as part of the installation ‘Palimpsest‘. Literally pulled up by a rope and supported by a solid haystack rod, the tree with its leafless crown symbolizes the concept Palimpsest ‘, that is: peeling, distinct, rearrange and rewrite what we find in layers, both in the themes, the landscape and in our own work.

Stripped of the paper encyclopedia, it will clear the way for a new idea of gathering and dissemination knowledge.

Now, the third version of ‘ExLibris’ is gaining energy in Dronten for another stage of life.
